The good that I would

The church gathering in the Conversation hour on Monday yesterday had one problem ---for those who say they want to promote debate ( like mcmullan) - no dissenters .
There was " no question about it ", "everything is all in " at least until Richard arrived . You want to watch that richard (PM program) bloke too- he's sounding a bit like a non believer!
His honesty about the difference between the talk and the walk was a pleasant change from the "we must do this "and others must do that " of the new religious left. Those who would change our behavoiur need to study the subject more closely- otherwise they and the polys will continue to wander from handouts through projection to tokens and trickets and all the way back again . If you are going to talk conservation talk and then do the walk you need to " engage " properly with experts in the field >no other way !

Wet behind the ears on Water

We know there is a wolf out there somewhere, but i don't think the troops, or the terrritories will round him up tonight in Canberra (posted 6:45pm thurs )

Derek and tony are at least raising some good broad well targeted questions like "is water a commodity like any other" ( clearly not) raising the reality that the wannabe powerfuls are on this day isolating the water issue from its proper and necessary environment - symbol of the total inadequacy of the action agenda and the lack of science .
