There some great stuff on 3LO I know, but i didn't realise the conversation hour was so much pleasant comedy. Listening to the navel gazing excesses of two ageing lefties and their discussion of thgeirs and others place in the biasometer. I guess you did a good job on raising critical issues on the aged care debate you deserve a little indulgence and a good pat on the back.( well done jon )
But lets not live in the past
The paradigm is a bit limited -- left and right is not enough mate for a good debate !

Well done Virginia and derek on exploring all directions of the super debate .
esp liked you reaching out for that all important but "lost" question - when will someone stand up for the polys and the PS - incl themselves ( We know the teams going down bad when we start saying our judge and polys are 'n worth it -Fair enough rip out rorts but watch out for short term gain and market driven games ! Government people have important jobs to do and the longer the knocking goes on the less efficient it may become . Go with the devil you know

I won't say anything nasty about ageing lefities again if it means you allow distrust to surface again to target the market. Not only were you ready to question the ever trusting stephen mayne .
Stephen is right of course - Open markets create growth and lots of money for some who know where the cream is , but do we want cancer or are we better off with slower more sustained more refrained growth .
He was wrong too --FT won't help the third world - esp third world cream producers in own country .
http:/fairgomate.blogspot.com Does having the foot on the accelerator like jeff did really help most of us enjoy life --- growth freaks ?
talk Foreign investment not just trade - where are dollars going? buying out our capacity to trade ?
