Free medication has its place in a pure democracy

The children, dear jon, are in charge, and no smooth talking will cover it up . The public mood is for giveaways, including, worst of all, the ones that have the best intention as their label - free medication.
The caller who said " free medication " to jon's request for something big to spark the election campaign last week didn't know he'd summed it up; said it all - .
We are pretending this is about Democracy when, ho hum , its nearly Christmas and to be honest, its more about the mass need for medication . If we can't have a big bang for election time, we might as well feel like we have had one?

Last time Bracks had something really big to give away ---the Otways .But you can't keep giving away what's not yours, like succesive governments have done . It worked well for a time,,, until the rationale came back to bite the quick fixers who drive such things . Feeding a childish frenzy is short term gain long term pain -the discipline theme song of the true greens - Certainly a tune unknown to those who fail to challenge "the peace at medications price" facade of our current democracy and its leadership without discipline .

If the ads are right , the greens have learnt the first lesson on plantations which they backed so religiuosly last time. " we must think long term " at least they get that right !!!!! The substance though is that .....they said this three years ago and still fell for this careless cocontenation of greens and labor over how we would supply timber for a while using " the plantations" .Now these illfitting monocultures compete unfairly for land and water, and noone says nothing !!!! Its always a fearful thing if you judge the environment wrongly - or don't know it well enough to " insist of what we should do with it " . Those of us who study the environment don't fear it , we infact used to enjoy working in harmony with it . But l ike the windmills and tanks, these shabby tokens and half measures ( like the indifference to recycling that incriminates both parties ) will in the long term, be seen to be are seen to be for what they are ---mere tokens, target practice for touters , and medication for the masses . We haven't got any more public land to lock up. No big splash of action that would distract the public from the reality behind the last 7yrs . As john william son might have said "stuffed if they know" Stalemate mate At least Jeff tried to do something to prevent the grinding poverty of government by decree ( the cuts of a thousand decrees?) . Bracks has done zilch to stop bureaucarts doing what they themselves love to do too - they not only don't make decisions, they pay consultants to supposedly " make decsions" . Stuffed by their own decision to vote for indecision in their own court, We have now the wisdom of the moment, the politically correct, the popular and the rapidly passing patheticness of the present preoccupations .Reactionaries galore
The greens and family first seem to be unware that, like Labor, they have to learn to quickly support professionals who study the public good , or risk joining the popular road to big budgets to papertrails that eventually show noone in particular was infact responsible for any decisions .

No wonder thinking Victorians are in a bad mood this election - the game is too much run by and for children and families with poor parenting practices !
Bring on the medication!
